As a company, they believe in delivering the best experience possible for their clients. Their services include spa facials, semi-permanent eyebrow makeup, organic spray tan, and the increasingly popular trend of microblading.

Microblading is a form of tattoo that requires an expert to deposit pigment underneath the skin. Unlike with regular tattooing methods, microblading does not use a machine but rather a manual handheld tool that makes the strokes appear like real natural hairs. The process takes time, especially for new clients, for those interested be sure to make more than two hours available for the procedure. Much like tattooing, the pain is more bearable for some than others. People who want microblading should be sure to avoid pain relievers, alcohol, and retinol a week before their appointment. These items are blood thinners and can increase the chances of bleeding. Aftercare is essential, those with microblading should avoid anything that can cause excessive sweating. The full, natural looking eyebrows produced by microblading are perfect for anyone looking to up their brow game.

For some, doing their eyebrows every day can bring them satisfaction. For others who get tired or are too busy to do their brows from day to day but still want those perfect, filled brows, there is a solution. Microblading is a semi-permanent solution but those who do it don’t have to worry about their brows for over a year. Those who are interested should research the steps they need to take before and after the procedure.

How to cook a steak 4 ways

For any meat-loving carnivore, there are few things greater than a perfectly cooked steak. However, not all steaks are created equal and the same is true when it comes to cooking up your favorite cut of beef. Although there are several ways to serve up a choice cut of meat, let’s focus on 4 tried and true ways to achieve a perfectly cooked steak.

Grill

Cooking a steak on the grill could be the most popular way to cook a steak. If you have the equipment, a gas or charcoal grill, there is not much to it. All you need is your preferred cut of steak, seasonings of your choice and a little bit of oil or butter.

How to do it

Start by firing up the grill. You want to get it nice and hot. Once the grill gets up to temperature throw your lightly oiled and seasoned steaks on for about 3-5 minutes. Time will vary depending on how cooked you like your steak. When the time is up, take your steaks off the grill, wrap them in foil for a few minutes, then serve.

Pan fried

So maybe you want a perfectly cooked steak but you don’t own a grill. Or it’s snowing outside and the idea of grilling in a parka just doesn’t sound too appealing. Have no fear. Chances are you have everything you need inside your kitchen to get a perfectly cooked steak. Pan-frying is a great option. All you need is a pan (Duh!) Although a cast iron pan or skillet will work best as it can retain the heat more efficiently.

How to do it

Similar to grilling a steak get the pan nice and hot. Place your lightly oiled or buttered steaks in for 3-5 minutes each side. Once the steaks are cooked, wrap them in tin foil and let them rest for a few minutes. Dinner is served.

Oven

When time is not an issue, cooking a steak in the oven is a great way to get one tender and juicy piece of meat.

How to do it

Much like the first two methods listed above, oil up and season your meat to preference. Then preheat the oven to 250F. Roast the steaks for about 20 minutes in the center of the oven. This will ensure a nice and thorough cook. Then heat up a lightly oiled pan and give the steaks a good sear to crisp them up. The caramelization will create a nice flavor. Again let the meat rest for a few minutes in tin foil before serving.

Sous vide

No this is not a lesson on how to speak french. If you don’t know what a sous vide I suggest you google it right now. Don’t worry, I’ll wait. Ok fine, I’ll explain it. Sous vide in a nutshell is placing food in an airtight bag and cooking it in water at a very low temperature. The advantage to this is you can get a tender and flavorful steak as the seasoning and juices cannot escape the bag and are therefore forced to go into the meat.

How to do it

Place the seasoned meat in an airtight bag and cook for 1-2 hours at 120F. Timing is not as crucial with this method. The more you cook it the more tender it will be. Once it is cooked, remove it from the bag, pat the meat dry, and then sear the steak in a very hot pan. 60-90 seconds should do the trick. Be sure to flip the meat regularly to avoid overheating one side. After searing it is ready to be served.

So there you have it, 4 ways to cook your favorite cut. Make no mistake (pun intended) all 4 are a great choice. Why not try them all?
